Cinna was a 5-month-old kitten that was brought to the Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter shelter on 7/19/19 with his 6 other siblings. Cinna's brothers and sisters had been spayed/neutered and adopted out to loving homes, but he needed our help!
To the blind eye, Cinna was an energetic, seemingly healthy cat. If you didn't already know that he has a potentially life-threatening heart condition, you would have no idea he was even sick. Cinna was placed into a foster home with two of his siblings because he has a grade 3-4/6 heart murmur and has not been neutered. We held a fundraiser to raise money to send Cinna to a cardiologist in order to evaluate the severity of his condition and provide him with the lifesaving treatment he needed.
On September 5, 2019 Cinna was seen by a Cardiologist. We received the news that Cinna does have a congenital heart condition but most with his condition can live a full normal life. Cinna no longer has to take the medications he was taking, and can set his own limits. This meant he was ready to find his furrever home!
