Trudy the Fighter

Trudy was a 2-year-old cat that was found by Calvert County Animal Control. Trudy had been hit by a car and left on the side of the road. At first observation, it was clear that she had a broken leg. Trudy was taken to the vet and upon further examination it was discovered that she also had a broken jaw.  With her jaw broken, she also had to be fed by a syringe. Trudy needed orthopedic surgery and we had to help her!

Trudy had pins put in her leg and had to wear a cast. Her jaw was not as serious and would heel naturally on her own.  Despite Trudy’s experience, she was a FIGHTER! She is insisting on eating on her own. She also lifted her leg, cast and all, into the litter box all by herself. She was a sweet and playful cat who just wanted to give love!

Trudy was placed into a foster who ended up adopting her! Can you say a purrfect ending?!
